For a bladder infection you would need to see your doctor for antibiotics, as this is the only thing that will clear it up. In the meantime drink plenty of fluids including cranberry juice. There is also an over the counter medication called AZO which can be used for any pain you may be having, but this can only be used for a maximum of two days. Urinate frequently and completely to empty your bladder each time. Avoid soda, coffee, alcohol- anything containing citrus juices or caffeeine until the infection has cleared. Avoid any type of feminine products like sprays as they may irritate your urethra. If you are sexually active urinate after every encounter, and make sure you wipe from front to back. Also cleanse the area before sex.

Neither medication has UTIs as a reported side effect, so it is possible. There are a lot of reasons why UTIs occur- not drinking enough, having diabetes, sex can also be a factor, etc Women also seem to get them more often then men, and it can also occur due to contamination of the urinary tract with feces.

This could be due to many things- fibroids, polyps, pelvic inflammatory disease, cyst, etc The only way to know for sure would be to see your doctor for a further examination and testing.
