Question

I went to the beach today, and I was wearing a bathing suit

Sent to Health Experts July 14, 2006 10:54 p.m.

I am an 18 year old male. I went to the beach today, and I was wearing a bathing suit with a zipper instead of velcro. The inside of the zipper kept rubbing up againt the tip of my penis, causing extreme discomfort. When I got home, the tip was all red and it looked like it had cut the skin a little bit on both the head and the shaft. I wiped it down with hydrogen peroxide later in the day. What should I do? Is there anything I should do in order to be healed more quickly?

Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,

The only thing you need to do is keep it clean and you can go to a pharmacy or a local store and they have antibiotic cream in the medication aisle. You can get bacitracin or neosporin, or any antibiotic cream. Just clean it real well like 3 times a day and put the antibiotic cream on and it should heal up just fine.

If you see the redness getting worse or any kind of drainage coming from it, then you most likely have an infection. If you will start with the antibiotic cream 3 times a day, this will most likely not happen. You should be fine.

I hope I have answered your question. If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask. If I have in anyway helped you with my answer, could you please click the ACCEPT button and also give me a short feedback so I know how I am doing.

Thank you and Good Luck,
