Only antibiotics will help to clear up a urinary tract infection, so you really do need to see a doctor for an exam and testing, to determine what specific antibiotic is needed to clear up the infection. In the meantime drink plenty of fluids including cranberry juice. There is also an over the counter medication called AZO which can be used for any pain you may be having, but this can only be used for a maximum of two days. Urinate frequently and completely to empty your bladder each time. Avoid soda, coffee, alcohol- anything containing citrus juices or caffeeine until the infection has cleared. Avoid any type of feminine products like sprays as they may irritate your urethra. If you are sexually active urinate after every encounter, and make sure you wipe from front to back. Also cleanse the area before sex.

I went to the dr this morning for another matter and I told him I thought I had a bladder infection. Before I went to the doctors I urinated a few times before I went and they tested my urine and he said it was not a bladder infection or any infection. So what else could it be if it only bothers me when I urinate. I only get pressure, no burning.

If it isn't an infection anywhere along the urinary tract, what you are experiencing could be a urethral stricture. This is an abnormal narrowing of the urethra caused by inflammation or scar tissue from surgery, disease, or injury. This is something your doctor would need to do an exam, to see if this is the case.

It could be some bladder abnormality/condition that is going on, of which your doctor would need to do further examination and testing to determine exactly what is going on, and he may refer you to a urologist. If you don't currently do Kegel exercises, then I would also recommend that these be done.

As I stated above it could be a urethral stricture. There is no way to know for sure what exactly is going on unless your doctor does a further exam and testing. As you were tested for a UTI which came back negative, this is only the first step in determining what is going on. As I am not an MD and cannot examine you myself nor do I have your chart in front of me detailing what your medical history is, I can only give you ideas as what it could possibly be.
