I have taken the RX Phentermine for several days. I have had cold/flu symptoms and took Nyquil last night. I did take one tablespoon more than the recommended dose. Today I am having sweats, general stomach disorders and feel "fuzzy". Can you please tell me what I should do? I have found through Google research that the two drugs (Phentermine and DMX) combined can prove fatal. Please respond a.s.a.p. Thank you.

Hello,

When taking Phentermine (or any other medication for that matter) it is very important that you do not routinely use other medications, especially cold preparations.

I would suggest you should decide which you require more at this point, cold medication or the Phentermine, but do not take both together In fact, if at all possible, I not take either today or tomorrow.

Your symptoms may or may not be connected. As you have a cold/flu your symptoms could be related to that verus the medications. This is based on the fact that you took the Nyquil last night and just began feeling strange today. You would have had a reaction must quicker if it were the combination.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

Reply to Deborah's Post: I have read that if you have taken a cold med with DMX (as Nyquil has), that you shouldn't take Phentermine for several weeks afterwards. Is this true? Or can I resume the Phentermine when I'm feeling better in a day or two. Thank you.

As you only took the Nyquil for a brief period, by discontinuing the Nyquil and the Phenetermine for the   for the next few days, then perhaps resuming the Phentermine on Wednesday there would be no problems.

The recommendation that you have read on the internet is geared for long term abusers of Phentermine and those that also over medicate themselves long term with cough preparations.

I got the impression that you only just began the Phentermine and took the Nyquil once. So, you will be fine.

You may have had some flu symptoms.
