urination

Sent to Health Experts July 31 08:14 PM

I have to make frequent trips to the bathroom. I am 43, female and excercise almost daily. I usually have to urinate atleast 2 times a night. I go on an hourly basis daily. There is no pain when urinating, but generally it is a good amount and light yellow. I do drink water frequently throughout the day, but generally limit my caffiene to 2 cups. I go twice right before bed,but still wake up nightly with a very full bladder. What is your opinion ?

Thank you .

Doesn't sound as though there is any infection, so that is good. However, it may be due to cystocele (also called fallen bladder), sugar, inflammation of the bladder which is known as Interstitial cystitis, some medications can cause this too. It would be best to see your doctor for a proper in person evaluation, as further testing will need to be done to pin point the exact cause.

Reply to Lindie's Post: What does sugar have to do with frequent urination besides being a symptom of diabetes ? Incidentally, my mother was a brittle diabetic. I have not lost weight and do not have any other risk factors. As far as medication,I take prozac, synthroid and zertec. Also, what would cause the bladder to become inflamed ?

Thanks !

I say Sugar vs diabetes, as some people don't know what diabetes mean. Diabetes is not something that just happens, it is something that occurs gradually, as symptoms begin to develop. Interstitial cystitis is a problem that is known for inflammation of the bladder. You can read about this here. read here

Hope this helps.
