Isoniplex is currently the best medication on the market to help control breakouts but there are no known cures for the HSV-1 virus at this time. If you are not taking or have tried this you should consult with your physician about a change to this medication. There are studies ongoing that they will try to market in the next couple of years of a vaccination that can help to prevent this virus but not to cure it at this time, but they are always doing studies and hopefully within the next few years they can come out with a product to not only cure this but HIV as well. But for now try to discuss this medication change as it may work better for you in controlling breakouts.
