continous foggy mind

Sent to Health Experts August 05 02:30 AM

since i got out of high school and started college .. i have progressively became confused, losing concentration, my eyes feel funny all the time and my new glasses doesnt help fix them, my memory is shot and im not doing as well in school as i used to and i don't feel good about myself overall. i always feel theres something bugging me in my mind but i cant figure it out. i never really thought i was losing my mind because its slowly creeping up to me until now. im only 21 years old and eat on a very healthy diet, do exercises every now and then, and the only medicine im on is birth control pill for pregnancy prevention. any ideas? the only theory i can come up with is college stress but its summer time and im still feeling "elderly"

Summer vacation can be a time to unwind, and on the other hand, it can be a time when the mind wanders because there aren't deadlines and assignments to help you focus your attention productively. Use your vacation to rest and recuperate your mental energy so when school starts again, you'll be able to concentrate on what is necessary for you to pass your classes.

It might be beneficial for you to find a sympathetic psychological counselor so that you can share your thoughts about yourself. Also, so that you can hear your thoughts as you speak them out loud to a counselor you will develop insight into yourself that will be helpful for you.

Another thing that you should do before you head back to school, is to have a complete physical examination. You might be anemic, hypothyroid, or you might have a low blood glucose that could be causing you to feel a lack of concentration and "elderly".
