thank you for your responds. Yes her OBY was aware. She said there would be withdrawal but didn't give her a clue as to what to expect. She called me because the baby is not eating within the times a usual new born should be expected to eat.(6-8 hours) Baby is quiet not upset. When she was born she was 10 out of 10 on the everything checks out normal at birth scale.A message came through that my question has been answered but I can not find the answer.

Thank you again, Yes mom is still on the medication and has been trying to breast feed but I don't think she will be sucessfull. She has almost stopped. I know as long as she was breastfeeding the baby continued to get the drug but now what happenes? Please know I have my credit card in my hand to pay for your services. It is a matter of trust for both of us.

as she was breastfeeding the baby continued to get the drug

This is correct. The baby also has been getting this for over 9 months now and has it fully within their system. Irritability and loss of appetite are the most often but the child may need to be fully checked by the pediatrician on this as well. Normally side effects are not severe in nature unless the parent has abused the medication during pregnancy and this does not seem to be the case. She seems to have been on this for long term treatment and it is hard to just stop it.

If she is unable to breast feed she may be able to use a breast pump and hand feed the baby. This will still give the child the medication and it could then slowly be weaned off of the breast milk with the medication in it.

I would send a link to the medication but the mother I am sure is already aware of side effects and they vary from individual to individual persons.

Again, try the above, and have the pediatrician do a good exam. This may even include a bookwork on the baby to run levels test.

If I may further assist then please reply.
