i recently had a culture done and it showed genetial strep. My doctor prescribed Augmentin 500 mg. twice a day. I have been taking the medication for almost seven days and it still has not cleared up. I have lots of itching, small ulcers, swollen pubic area and it is miserable. I entend to go back to my Doctor next week, what other meds can be used to get rid of the infection?
