I am taking lisinopril for my blood pressure. Is it also okay to take an antiinflammatory medication for tendonitis.? I have noticed that my feet have been swelling for the last couple of days could it be because of taking those two drugs together and how do I get the swelling to go down? When I got the prescription filled the pharmacist did not tell me that the antiinflammatory may not work with the blood pressure medicine that I am on. I have been taking the blood pressure medicine for almost a month and the antiinflammatory medicine for two weeks.

I am taking lisinopril at 20 mg. once a day and ibuprofen 600 mg three times a day.

Yes, it is okay .

Swelling is not caused by taking 2 drugs together.

Cut your salt intake, elevate the legs, avoid standing or sitting long time.

Ibuprofen may decrease hypertensive effect of the Lisinopril.

Reply to V. Yetimyan   M.D.'s Post: What would make my feet just start swelling all of a sudden? I have to wear a walking boot on one foot for at least another week and a half. Where I live it has been really hot lately so I thought that might have something to do with it.
