Pain management
Sent to Health Experts August 25 10:42 PM

I hurt all over:elbow and forearm, hip, shoulder pain radiating from the joint. I have arthritis and bursitis in my knees. That's been confirmed but I feel like I hurt everywhere. I grit my teeth and tense up a lot from pain. I am 57 years old. Post menopause. Try to work out on a tread mill 3-4 times per week. Overweight but going to WeightWatchers(lost 17 pounds so far). Blood work is fine(even tested for Rheumitoid arthritis). I take lots of OTC pain Medications. What could it be?

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 57

Already Tried:
Shots in my knees and shoulder. Pain meds.

It is probably related to your arthritis. I would talk to the doctor about the fact that over the counter medicines are not controlling the pain. You may need something stronger. There are other non-narcotics that only your doctor can prescribe.

You can try heat or cold, depending on which gives you the most relief, and try to rest the areas.

Yes, that is possible. Fibromyalgia is an illness that is diagnosed by ruling out all other illnesses first. But it is possible to have both.
