i was always scared to talk to a doctor. far as long as i can remember i have had these attacks where i start to sweat, shake, knots in stomach, trouble breathing. i also have a habbit of biting my lip during these attacks i chew holes into my lips. i always no when an attack is coming on because my whole body starts to tingle. finally i had the courage to talk to my family doctor and he gave me lexapro. it helped control the frequency sometimes. But i felt he thought i was either over doing it or i was doing it to get drugs. that was all he gave me he said time would heal my pain but i am 23 and have had these attacks as early as 5 years old to my knowdlge

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Your doctor/patient relationship (for lack of a better word) STINKS. You clearly are suffering from anxiety attacks which need to be addressed and your current doctor is basically telling you he does not believe you!

Go to a different doctor. You have classic signs of anxiety attacks and there are many medications that could help you. Another thing you may want to ask another doctor about is relaxation techniques. Perhaps a comprehensive evaluation by a new doctor may find that some therapy would be appropriate if an underlying cause for your anxiety is identified. You mentioned in your profile that you are 23 years old. It's a difficult time in a young man's life (whether it be from college, entering the work-force, and juggling with the new responsibilities of being an adult.

I like to remain objective, but frankly I believe you should ditch this doctor because he is simply not listening to you. Any doctor who doesn't listen to or believe his patients cannot help you.
