Can you give me a little more information about your sister?
What happened that she had to go to the hospital?
Was she put on the breathing machine right away?
What reason did they give you that she had to go onto the machine?
How are her kidneys?
Has she had an EEG, a CAT scan of the head, or a neurologist consultant?
Does she have any pulmonary history (asthma, COPD, fibrosis, etc.)?
Is she getting nutrition through an IV line or a feeding tube?
Does she have any infections?
What medicine has she been getting that would make her sleepy? (sometimes we give patients medicine so they won't fight the machine or be anxious).
