My husband has chest muscle pain as well as pain on his lower right side, low waist area. He has had this for three days. Today I noticed a "scab laced" rash appearing on his lower right chest area. The rash stretches around under his arm as well. He does not have a fever. He is 44 years old and works out regularly 3 times a week with a personal trainer. He first noticed the pain hours after his workout three days ago, but the pain has not gone away. His voice sounds like there is chest congestion, but he says that does not feel where the pain is coming from.

Hello

It sounds like he may have a case of shingles. Please have him see a doctor soon, as they can give him antiviral medicine if this is it, which will help it clear up quicker.
