Question

I've been taking a step down prednisone and am

Sent to Health Experts October 04, 2006 2:23 p.m.

I've been taking a step down prednisone and am now on the first day of 2 a day. (Four for 4 days, three for 4 days, two for 3 days, and one for 3 days.) I had a reaction to clindamycin. Symptoms are gone. I've become terribly nervous today. What happens if I stop taking it - not finish the prescription?

It could possibly cause an adverse reaction if you do not slowly come off of it as they are having you do, it would be best if the Prednisone is making you nervous which it can do to call them and see if you can cut down sooner or stop. Alot of medications have to be slowly stopped as they can also cause a reaction when you stop suddenly and it can be worse then actually taking the medication, it really depends on your system but if the medication is making you nervous and the symptoms are gone I would call them and see if you can cut down to the one sooner or stop as they know all of your health history. You can try also spreading out the doses further apart see if that helps at all but due to it being prescribed I would call them to make sure.
