I've had diarrhea since Monday afternoon. I took imodium this morning and again this afternoon after eating lunch. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I drank liquids and ate only one meal each day after which I experienced severe cramping and diarrhea. I ate this evening after all the imodium and still have cramping but no diarrhea.
I fele like it's going to return. Should I try something else?

Ma'am

You have an infection in your gastroinestinal tract indicated by the symptoms of cramps and diarrhoea. You need to get it treated.

Imodium is a medicine used to slow down the motility of intestines which usually speeds up during infection. It cannot cure an infection.Infact in presence of infection it may actually aggravate the condition by causing the toxins to remain longer in the intestine. That may cause spread of infection in severe cases.

Right now you need to visit a doctor and get treated with antibiotics to cure the infection. Please do take care for dehydration too and take rehydrtion fluids with consutlation with your doctor to supplement the minerals salts that you might have lost in the process.

Hope this has been useful and you are welcome toask doubts if any.
