I was having a problem with my left eye and went to my eye doctor. He said I either had herpies or shingles in my eye and perscribed Trifluridine. Prior to the exam my vision in that eye was 20/20 and since using the medication my vision has become very blurred like looking into a thick fog. Is that normal? Will my vision return after the treatment?

Hello,

Blurring vision is a serious possible side effect of using trifluridine and should be reported to your doctor as soon as possible.

Other serious sides effects include: dry eye, eye irritation such as itching, redness, swelling that was not present before starting the trifluridine.

Minor side effects that only need to be reported if bothersome include burning or stinging.

Please call your doctor today and let him know about the blurring vision.
