I have been using Estrace cream externall

Sent to Health Experts October 12 12:50 AM

I have been using Estrace cream externally and Vagifem suppository estrogen pills for a little over a month now for treatment of atrophic vaginitis.   For the last week and a half, I have had problems with generalized aching in both of my legs, no cramplike pain, just aching. Standing makes it worse, and it seems better in the morning after getting out of bed. Saw my regular dr. yesterday who checked pulse, heart rate, etc. Blood pressure was 125/80 which was up from reading in July: 110/70.   Do you think there is a relation between the estrogen meds and the aching in my legs? What about the change in the blood pressure reading? Any correlation there also?

Reply to V. Yetimyan   M.D.'s Post: When you said that this medication can do it, were you referring to aching legs or change in blood pressure or both? Why do you think this? Also, I am 54 yrs. old and have been postmenopausal for about 5-1/2 years.

Correction on blood pressure readings: On Tuesday, Oct. 11, BP was 125/74. In July, BP was 122/68. I contacted my doctor's office and got the correct readings. Sorry for sending incorrect information.

Leg, arm or groin pain is the side effect of Vagifem.
