I have atrial fibulation and have had two cardioversions; one worked for awhile and second one did not. Obviously, this condition has me physically run down except when I take tramadol. I have asked my PCP several times why this is, but the medication provides me a great deal more energy. I am curious as to why, and whether or not this is/has been a treatment for this condition. What is the long term risks associated with continued use? Can I continue to use the tramadol on a daily basis? Without it, I will be heavily taxed if I walk up two flights of stairs and feel quite winded. I won't be light headed, just out of breath. The only report I received from the second cadiologist was that she had gone to the max allowable setting on the electrodes. How many times can I try the cardioversion? I have no other health related problems.
Thanks a bunch. Tom Adland
