What would cause blood to be in stool of a 39 year old man?

I have noticed the last 2 times that I have gone to the bathroom that there is blood in my stool.

Are you having any abdominal pain right before you pass a bowel movement or any pain in your anal area when you are having the bowel movement? And are you on any medications particularly any newly added ones? This will allow me to be of better help to you. Thank you.
