It's good that you are participating in therapy and you have good insight into your issues. You are not imagining the increased depression that follows weight gain. There are plenty of studies that link obesity and depression, with physcial causes. You can read about this at:

if you are interested. So it is ironic that so many medications to treat depression and anxiety cause weight gain and increased appetite.
Among the antidepressants available today, Lexapro is reportedly the one with the fewest side effects. According to published controlled studies of Lexapro, weight gain in patients treated with Lexapro was similar to those taking a placebo (sugar pill). For more information go to:
