Menopause at your age is very likely. It really isn't confirmed until a year of stopped periods but your doctor can explain more to you. Be sure you have your annual gyn visit and discuss more about this.

Sometimes it's been said that the older you were when you started menstruating, the earlier you'll get into menopause. Not a hard, fast rule, but I've heard it.

When was the last time you saw your gynecologist? They usually do rectal exams during your annual exam.

Weight gain is not uncommon after entering menopause. You can exercise more and eat less…yet still find yourself gaining weight…especially in the waist and thigh areas. Not to mention being more stressed and fatigued, experiencing mood swings and just not feeling your best in general.

The source of rectal pain can be difficult to diagnose. As a result, a number of different causes have been associated with it. It may occur with diarrhea and constipation, or with hemorrhoids.

It may also be caused by an anal fissure, which is a small tear in the muscles in the area. Other possible causes of rectal pain include cancer, infection, inflammatory diseases such as Crohn's disease, colitis, or rectal prolapse.
