What would be the use of testoterone plo gel prescribed at 1 ml daily in a 46 year old woman who has not gone through menopause yet? Is it for libido/sexual drive enhancement, or would there be another use?

Testosterone implants can be used in post -menopausal women as an add on to hrt.

I have no idea why a Dr would want to prescribe that to a female patient.
Indeed in those men I have prescribed to myself I give them detailed instructions on how to avoid getting it on their wifes!
