I've had a lot of trouble with my periods the past few months after having a bulging disk in my l4 and l5 lumbar, my doctor said that can effect it. I also quit smoking, and have been dieting. Then i began a new relationship in early december, and i've been ont he pill since I was 18, and we used a condom. I"m fully aware that pregnancy is possible but i'm just trying to figure out if anything else could mess with it before getting worried and making it even longer until the period comes. I had some spotting around thanksgiving, actually i had my period twice in November... is it possible to completely miss a period without being pregnant? ?

ges5003,

Yes- it is possible to miss a period and not be pregnant. Stress can be a big factor with missing a period. What I have listed above are the most common reasons but there is no way to know for sure unless you have an evaluation done by your doctor.
