SORE BREASTS

My breasts are swollen and extremly sore for 5 days now. I am not pregnant and it is not PMS what is wrong?

Reply to Linda's Post: I am 30 and my last period was July 3. My breasts have only been sore and swollen like this when i have been pregnant in the past, but I have had my tube tied, so i could not possibly be preg. But the feel engouged. Thank you for your response.

Was it a "normal" period?

There is a very small "failed tubal ligation" rate, but it does happen. If it DOES happen, there is an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy (where the embryo develops in the fallopian tube rather than in the uterus), which can be life threatening.

If it was a 'light' or early period, I'd consider taking a pregnancy test.
