I''m 21 years old and late for my period. I''ve had sexual intercourse for the first time about a month ago, a little less. My last period was on April 12. We didn''t really have intercourse as inserting the penis was very painful. We got it in a little bit for a few seconds, but pulled out partially because it was too painful and also because my partner lost his erection. We DID use a condom. I''ve had some bleeding after this that lasted a few days and then stopped. I assume it was because the hymen was broken. A few days later I had some spotting, but I assumed it was my hymen again. It lasted for about a day, very little spotting, and stopped. I am now a little bit late for my period (it was supposed to start on May 10). I''ve been under a lot of stress since my last period and I''m also sick with a cold now. The extra stress from my new anxiety isn''t helping me much. I''ve been drinking some barley and ginger tea today to help the menstruation start, but no luck so far. Any advice?

hello

The one time you had intercourse, less than a month ago, your partner used a condom. Full penetration was not accomplished. The condom did not break. If all of the above is true, it would be next to impossible for you to be pregnant today.

Chances are, it's the stress, your cold, etc that is causing it to be late.

Relax, it will be here eventually.

Reply to Kerry's Post: Thank you, Kerry. What can I do for stress relief at this time? It's my first time and I'm anxious, and I know it's not helping my period to come. I wasn't concerned about the spotting :(
