Question

Is sex okay after the first few days of menstruation?

Is sex okay after the first few days of menstruation? Wouldn't the still raw endometrium be more vulnerable to infection than after the period is over and the uterus lining intact?

Yes, sex during menstruation is fine. No worries. It is just possibly a bit messy, but no problem should come of it.

That's a very poor answer and didn't really address my question. I need a reason as to why the raw endometrium is not more vulnerable.

The endometrium isn't raw at all. This is the outer layer sloughing off. The tissue below it isn't raw. It is normal tissue.
