I had my left ovary removed in October of 2005. I didn't have a period until the following July of 2006. When I did have my period it continued and got heavier each day. I went to the hospital and had a sonogram? It showed that my lining was 2x as thick as it should be. I had a DNC the following monday morning. This was in September of 2006. I have not had a period since then. I am 42 about to be 43. Should I be worried?

Although you may have a lack of menstruation due to only having one ovary and a small chance of pre-menopause, I would at least follow up with your doctor for a full blood work up, checking hormone levels etc., as you don't want to end up waiting too long and then have the same situation occur again where you get a thick lining and end up with another D&C. So I would follow up with your GYN soon to check hormones etc., and if all is well there, they may want to jump start a cycle so you don't run into the same situation.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and please take a moment to leave me *POSITIVE* feedback.
