The only way one can alter menstruation is via hormones. However once it starts, there isn't anything that can be done to speed it up. If the bleeding were to go on for several days in a row (to where you were at risk for becoming anemic) then you doctor could prescribe medication to help cease menstruation.

If you are wanting your period to hurry due to an event you have coming up, you may want to check into something like the softcup, as this is what most woman will use. You can read about that here Click here

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and please take a moment to leave me *POSITIVE* feedback.

I heard somewhere that taking Zinc can help release everything quicker. This is not true then?

It's said that Zinc is known to help with PMS symptoms, such as cramping, bloating, but it won't "speed" up a normal flow period. It may help those that have pro-longed periods, (which are irregular or very heavy), but only if they have very low levels of Zinc.

Which taking Zinc is under a doctors care, as if someone takes too much Zinc, this then creates other problems within the body.

Hope this helps
