For the past two years I have been experiencing tingling ...

Sent to Health Experts April 06, 2007 9:22 a.m.

For the past two years I have been experiencing tingling sensations, pins and needles all over my body, including face, lips, tongue, arms, legs, back, flank, etc. I also experience intense aching pain all over my body, but specifically concentrated in my left flank/ribcage area. This pain is usually constant but some days are better than others. The pain seems to be exacerabated by rainy weather and is worse during menstruation. I have had a full work up of tests, including MRI's of brain, cervical spine, thoracic spine as well as CT scan of abdomen and pelvis. All tests were deemed normal. Blood work revealed nothing. Tests were negative for Lyme, Lupus, B-12 def., etc. My neurologist prescribed Lyrica and left it at that. I am now scheduled to see a Rheumatologist for evaluation for Fibromyalgia as I have noticed I have multiple trigger points for pain. Does this sound like it could be Fibromyalgia? If not, what else could it be?

I've been on Lyrica and Effexor for anxiety related to not knowing what is wrong with me. The Effexor helped the anxiety a lot.
