I am 51 & still have intermittant menstruation, is it possible to become pregnant?

if you have intermittent bleeding its probably what is called anovulatory bleeding where the uterus builds a partial lining and sheds it. at the same time the ovaries are not realeasing an egg. there is a chance however that they still are and that gives a chance to become pregnant. if youre not up to date on your pap call your dr for an exam to rule out other sources of bleeding like polyps, cervicitis, cancer, and fibroids. if you are up to date you can request blood work by your dr be done to get your hormone levels and try to determine if its likely the type of bleeding i referred to above.\
