Two days ago I began to have a metallic taste on my tongue that would not go away with brushing and mouthwash. Last night I noticed that the muscels on the left side of my face have weakened. They still work, but not as well as the right. Could something be seriously wrong? I'm also a diabetic.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 35

Already Tried:
brushing my teeth and mouthwash to get rid of the metallic taste.

Hi,
By what you are describing you seem to be having Bell's palsy. This is the palsy of the seventh nerve. The metallic taste in mouth is also due to that. Nerve palsies are seen commonly in Diabetics. You need to have your blood sugar levels controlled. No need to worry this recovers on its own in a few weeks. You will need to fix an appointment with your daibetologist. for more information read here... and here...

Please remember to accept the reply if you find it useful. A BONUS and a positive rating would be duly appreciated,
