misled about blood work
Sent to Health Experts April 04 12:56 AM

I was involved in a mva and my primary care MD sent me to a podiatrist who in turn referred me for pain management. The Pain mgt MD did an exausted amt of tests including blood work which I had just recently had done. He also ordered a drug screen -sing class-ea class which he never made me aware he was doing and I cannot understand a reason for it. I have no prior drug involvement or history. Doesn't he need my permission for this? He also called and asked me to come in for further testing as he suspected diabetes from my blood work. I have had a primary MD for 30 yrs who do to a stroke 2 yrs ago monitors me very closely and I was seeint this doctor Strictly for pain mgt after a serious MVA. No fault will never approve all the workups he did to my knowledge and I am now being billed! Can you suggest what I can do and if I am responsible for all these lab costs when I was never made aware of the extent of all the blood work. Oh, can I obtain the results? I also asked the nurse what the blood she was taking was for and she said it was just routine cbc and I advised her I had just had bw done the week before you see I take cumadin and every month I have the level checked and every 6 months a complete work up by my primary care psysician.
