I had a few cookies and a candy bar felt ok, then went to dinner and had some chicken and potatoes, peas, and some jerky. I feel like some food is stuck in the same position as the tylenol pill...like a pressure in my throat, and i feel some food back there i think. should i go to the ER? please help

If you are having trouble breathing I would say yes get to the emergency room, but it's probably the jerky that has irritated it again...I would suggest something warm to ease the area and be careful not to eat anything to coarse or hard to chew up for a day or two till it feels better..Please push the accept button if you agree...Brenda

What should I do?
Make yourself a cup of hot tea (or coffee) and drink it slowly. The Tylenol will dissolve.

I do not recommend eating anything until this feel resolves and you are sure it is gone.

If drinking the tea or coffee doesn't melt it and you really think you aspirated the Tylenol into your airway, the best thing to do is to go to the ER to be checked.

Even with it being food it could still be just irritated..You would be choking or coughing or gagging if it were caught there..I wouldn't eat anything for awhile..Unless you are really hungry just for a short while till it eases...Soup or ice cream easy things that slide down should helped the ice cream can help to make it feel better too...Brenda
