I have been off my period for about 3 weeks now and for the past 2 weeks I have been bleeding. The first week it was just brown with a little of red and it was consistant and a good bit. This week it started with really red and dark and it almost seems like a period. I have been getting cramps also for the past two weeks even when it was just brown. The blood has kind of a metal smell to it if you smell it closely. I could kinda smell it a little when I had my legs a little open when I was bathing. I am on birth control and I am on the patch. Have been on the patch for 2 yrs and never had a problem except for headaches. I am on the patch right now also and this bleeding is occuring while being on the patch. I took two pregnency test just to make sure and one was positive and one was negative. I don't know what any of this means, but I would really appreciate it if you could give me some kind of answer. I don't have my appointment with my OBGYN until may because she is out of town. I talked to her nurse but she said it was nothing to worry about. I called her again because she said to call back if it got worse and it did, but she didn't get back to me until today and I missed her call. I just want to know if you could help me and see what is going on if there are other things that could be wrong. Thank you, Alicia!
