Dear Dr.,
I'm a 27 year old girl.I've never been on birth control pills but have recently decided to do so.I had an appointment at this health care center and since this is my first time to get on pills I asked the nurse to prescribe something with less side effects and she gave me " Microgestin 1-20" but from the research I have done online I got to know that this is a combination of estrogens & progestins which leads to weight gain and other side effects.I haven't started taking the pills yet.Do you think this is the right pill for me or not?
Please advise.
