My mother has been experiencing halo's with her vision and her left arm and hand has been going to sleep.   She has a knot on her wrist....I think she has carpal tunnel. She just called me to come over because she called a help line nurse to inquire about the symptons she had just experienced again. She said she was driving and her right hand went numb and at the same time she had floaters in her periphial vision. The on call nurse advised her to go to the ER with in -4 hours....she said that it could be a detached retina....what causes a detached retina???? I thought it was from a specfic type injury to the eye....Could it be something cardio vasular??? She has 134/68 BP readings from a doctor visit last Wednesday. any suggetions ????
