Our six month old daughter is starting to spit up more

Our six month old daughter is starting to spit up more often, to the point where it's more of a throw up rather tnah a spit up. This is at every feading now. It does not project, but is expelling in chunks know instead of spilling out in a flow.
We have taken her in to see her doctor, but all they say is, as long as she's gainig weight, she's o.k., but o.k. isn't satisfyiing for us anymore.
What can you tell as about this and what can we do?
