sore belly opf 4 year old child

my 4 YEAR OLD IS COMPLAINING OF SEVERE PAIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS LOWER ABDOMEN. HE HAS BEEN COMPLAINING OF PAIN FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS.COULD THIS BE SOMETHING DANGEROUS LIKE HIS APPENDIXS AND i SHOULD GET HIM TO THE HOSPITAL? IT IS 5:30 AM AND HIS PEDITRICIAN DOES NOT HAVE PRIVILAGES AT THE HOSPITAL NEAR ARE HOUSE SO IT'S A TWENTY-FIVE MINUTE INTO THE HOSPITAL TO BE SEEN BY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HIM? hE IS INTERMITTENLY CRYING AND WRITHING BETWEEN RESTING SORT OF COMFORTABLE DOES THIS SOUND LIKE GAS OR A HOSPITAL VISIT?
