I've got a 14 year old who is constipated...not sure what to do...take to doctor? ExLax or something else?

It's a boy actually...it's now been about three days (I think).   I know he hasn't gone after Thursday evening, but I don't know when before then.

I wouldn't given him Ex-Lax, that is very harsh.

I would call the pediatrician and asked for a a prescription for a stool softener.

You can go to the pharmacy and purchase some gylcerin suppositories and insert one into the rectum. This will help lubricate the anus, espeically if the stool is very hard.
