My 14 year old son had some brite red bllod in his stool ...

My 14 year old son had some brite red bllod in his stool just a few minutes ago about 1 tablespoon full of blood. he is not constinpated. normal bowl movement. what should I do. He is not in any pain he says but I am concern . he seem to not have any himrods either. so what should I do at this point.

I ma wondering if he has an anal fissure. although he was not constipated today, he may have been in the past. He may have had a larger, dry stool. Ask him if he is experiencing burning.

Bleeding from the intestines would not be bright red, he would have black, tarry looking stool.

He he is not having any burning nor pain . Could he be having apeditscides or something. I am afraid that he has other problems . should I take him to the ER

No, this is not the symptom of appendicitis.

Ask him if you can look. I am sure you will find a tear there. Simply spread the area gently with boith hands.

Ask him if he has had bowel movements that have hurt him in the past.

You could go to the ER, but I think this can wait for the pediatrician in the morning.
