my daughter is nine months old her nose is running ...

my daughter is nine months old her nose is running like crazy she keeps rubbing her eyes and has a little bit of a cough. i gave her dimetapp this morning but it did not help at all. i went to the local pharmacy to ask about antihistamines for infants and they said there isnt anything that it is to difficult to dose for someone so small. i was also told it could be side effects of teething. is there anything i can do or just ride it out
