My eight year old daughter wets her pants when laughing, ...

My eight year old daughter wets her pants when laughing, sneezing etc....
she also complains that even tho she went to the bathroom she says she
still feels like she has to go and when she gets up after wiping urine still
drips. What could be causing this? Is it something she will grow out of?

Has this been going on since she has been potty trained or is this a new finding?

It could be something she will grow out of but, it also could be a sign of an infection. I would recommend she go to her pediatrician to rule out a serious condition so it can be adequately treated. The doctor may say its something she can grow out of or teach her exercizes to strengthen the muscles that surround the urethra.
