I HAVE A YEAR OLD BABY AND THE PEDIATRICIAN TOLD ME SHE HAS HEMOROIDES AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE CAN I FIND A GOOD DOCTOR FOR HER, WE LIVE IN A TOWN CLOSE TO CHICAGO.

Although pediatrics has many subspecialtys, proctology does not seem to be included. Hemorrhoids in babies are generally harmless.

Did the pediatrician recommend that your daughter be seen by a specialist? If so, what reason was given? And did you ask them to recommend (and/or refer you to) a specific specialist?
