My 6 year old has been vomitting for 3hrs... He can keep ...

My 6 year old has been vomitting for 3hrs... He can keep nothing down. He has diarrhea and complains of abdominal pain. The last bout of vomit was streaked with red blood. We are in Phoenix on vacation but are from Canada. We purchased emergency medical insurance. Should I take him in or wait a bit longer?

Hi,
I am a pediatrician,
Given the fact that he is not keeping anything down, A visit to the ER is preferred, maybe with an injectable anti-vomiting medicine you maybe able to get him back sooner, waiting may entail dehydration and lead to increased hospital stay.
