Hi,
I am a pediatrician,
As a general guideline there is no problem in switching normal baby formula and no specific precautions need to be taken. Things to remember are to see how the baby takes the feed, the stool consistenecy and any other worrisome sign like severe constipation / blood in stools/ excessive colic etc.
Gas alone is not likely to suggest any problems with the formula,

Thanks for getting back, and sorry for the delay,
You should expect changes to occur within 24 hours to maximum a week after starting the frormula if there is any problem,
For any clarifications/ doubts a visit to your pediatrician would be most informative,
regards
