my 6 month old grand daughter has recently begun kind of

my 6 month old grand daughter has recently begun kind of throwing her upper body over to one side every once in a while. she likes to walk around in her walker and moves herself around so I thought maybe that is what she is doing. she doesn't do it when she sits on my lap or on the floor but if she is being held or in a walker that rolls or one that stays still. I am very worried about her.. that you for any imput.grandma lulu

Hello grandma lulu, If something doesn't seem right, it is always best to discuss with the pediatrician. Did she have her 6 month visit yet? If so, then talk at the next visit. What you describe sounds like something that babies do when you put them in the walker. It gives them momentum to thrust to the side or forward in order to move. Of course whomever holds her needs to be aware of this movement so she doesn't thrust out of there arms. I can't see what she is doing so you have to use your judgement. If it really looks unusual than give the doctor a call. Let me know if you have more questions about this. Terry
