My pharmacy filled my Effexor XR 75 mg. 3 x/day with 150 mg. 3x/day. When I finally figured it out, I had been taking the overdose for over a week. I called the pharmacist, and all they did was replace it with the correct dosage. Now, I dropped from 450 mg a day to 225 mg a day. I'm miserable.   My husband finally called the psychiatrist, and they kindly informed be I should have tapered off - I don't know why I wasn't told this before, since supposedly the pharmacy and doctor were in contact with each other. Anyway, I feel awful, what can I do to ease the suffering, and get back on with my life?

And, by the way, don't I have any recourse for them giving me an overdose, and then now, taking at least (so far) a week of my life from me? Karen
