I began a high protein diet last week but i didn't follow through... i ended up drinking a sugary drink in place of my grapefruit juice & hot tea(bare). That seemed to kick off me being constipated, which included tummy cramping. Whenever i would drink something i knew should make me go... i would go but it never seemed like i was completely finished... i continued to feel constipated.... when i sit my tummy hurts from pressure... i'm sure there may be trapped bowels or something... i can go to the restroom but passed a certain point there is pain in my rectum when i attempt to force any more out. I began feeling a little better(a little relief) last evening because i went several times... my stomach would start to bubble & churn & an occasional pain would hit my rectum.... this morning at 815 i took a "woman's" laxative comparable to "correctol"... i believe the pharmacist stated it would take 6-8 hours to take effect... i'm just barely beyond the 4 hour mark and already i've used the restroom 3 x's... about to go again... but each time i finish... it still feels as though there's more that needs to come out... and by now... it's actually very liquidy... i wonder if perhaps i need an enima.... a friend of mine suggested stool softeners... she said that's probably where the pain is coming from... there are apparently hard bowels in there that would be excruciating if it were to pass through the rectum.... what do you suggest?... please help!

Already Tried: a woman's laxative comparable to correctol is about it.. drinking hot tea... orange juice... these thing usually make me go....
