If my child has pink eye and has been on prescription drops for 24 hours, how long will it be before he can be around others again?

If the Conjunctivitis is due to bacteria, it's generally best to wait until there is no more drainage and some even feel until the red/pink is all cleared up as well. Which depending upon how severe it is could take a couple of days to even 5-7 days.

how can you be sure that infection is caused by bacteria or other?
